Hi, I’m Michelle - fellow maker, small business owner, and your mentor inside Momentum Makers.

Having built my own product-based business, Slow North, from the ground up over the last decade, I know the real challenges and rewarding moments that come with running a business. I’m passionate about supporting fellow entrepreneurs, sharing what works, and helping you navigate the tough spots with confidence and clarity.

My biggest joy is seeing fellow business owners regain their spark, find community, and celebrate new wins…big or small. That’s exactly why I started Momentum Makers. I’m here to facilitate honest conversations, share what’s worked (and what hasn’t), and connect you with the experts, peers, and resources that move you forward.

What is Momentum Makers?

Momentum Makers is an online membership community for makers, artists, and creative product-based business owners who want honest support, practical business tips, and a network of people who truly understand what it takes to build a handmade brand.

Who can join Momentum Makers?

If you’re a maker, artist, or creative entrepreneur with a product-based business, whether you’re just starting out or have been at it a while, you’re welcome here. Our members come from all over and at every stage of their journey.

How much time do I need to spend?

You decide. Some members jump in daily, others check in when they need a boost. There’s no pressure to show up all the time. It works around your life.

What if I miss a group call or workshop?

No problem. Every call and workshop is recorded. You’ll always have access to the replays in our member space, so you can catch up whenever it works for you.

What’s included with membership?

You get access to a private online space where we host group coaching calls, hands-on workshops, live Q&As, and a friendly forum. We cover marketing, wholesaling, finances, systems, mindset and more. It’s a place to share ideas, get feedback, and connect with others who get it.

Will there be space for casual connections?

Absolutely. We host relaxed coffee chats and open forum times where you can come as you are, meet other members, chat about wins and roadblocks, or just hang out and recharge. These sessions are a great way to connect and get the most out of the group.

I’m new to online groups. Will I fit in?

Definitely. This is a kind, supportive place. Everyone’s figuring things out and helping each other, no judgment.

If I’m not ready now, can I join later?

Founding member spots and rates are only open for a short time during launch. You can certainly join later, but those special discounts are for the early group.

How much does it cost? Are there contracts?

Founding members pay $29 a month and keep that rate as long as they stay with us. There are no contracts. You stay because it’s helping you grow your business, nothing more.

Do I have to live in a certain place?

Nope. Momentum Makers is a global community. You can join and access everything no matter where you are.

Who runs the group?

I do - Michelle Simmons. I’ve built my own product-based business and now mentor makers like you. My focus is helping you grow your business without burning out.
